New garden creatures have popped up throughout the landscape. Big Jim relaxes beneath the aging dogwood and keeps a watchful eye on his fellow scarecrows.
There’s Farmer Sam ready to weed. Ava “Gardener” is gathering fall flowers. Near the butterfly bush you will find Mother Earth doing the yoga tree pose.. Whirly Gig Susie, Daisy and Pumpkin Head round out the garden work crew.
Several of the DCMGVA used their creature talents to build scarecrows to contribute to the fall garden. This endeavor has received much positive feedback from the community. Everyone is invited to go see the scarecrows and the gardens at the front of the Agricultural Extension Offices at 301 E. Center Street in Lexington.
