The Roy Ackland Memorial Charity Chili Cook-off and Craft Fair promotion
My name is Robin Ackland Sanyal (one of Roy Ackland's daughters) and the Ackland Family is putting on a memorial charity event for my father, Roy Ackland, on Saturday, October 7th from 10am to 6pm at the Denton FarmPark in Denton, NC.
The event is called The Roy Ackland Memorial Charity Chili Cook-off and Craft Fair. This is a charity event with every single penny from ticket sales going to the Salvation Army of Davidson County.
We are also looking for groups to participate in our Charity Chili Cook-off. You don't have to be a chili expert! Each chili cook-off team will help raise hundreds of dollars for The Salvation Army. Get your family, friends or co-workers together and come cook some chili! Fabulous prizes to be won and great fun to be had! There is no entry fee, we only ask that you bring 5 (five) gallons of chili to be distributed to the event attendees. The sale of each chili ticket will help us to reach our goal to give as much as possible to The Salvation Army of Davidson County while honoring my father's memory.
