Thomasville man arrested on multiple charges in Lexington

Shkurein Likeam Bethea, 25 of Maple Lane in Thomasville was arrested this morning at 7:51 a.m. by Davidson County Sheriffs and Officers from the Lexington Police Department, after a vehicle pursuit which ended on Rochelle Drive in Lexington, a short distance from Lexington Senior High School.

Bethea allegedly stole a vehicle from a resident of Tyro and was pursued by law enforcement for some distance before abandoning the truck and fleeing to a home on Rochelle Drive, where he was arrested without further incident.

Bethea received the following charges:

  • Felony Larceny of a Motor Vehicle

  • Resisting Arrest

  • Reckless Driving

  • Felony Flee to Elude Arrest

  • Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle

  • Disorderly Conduct

  • Speeding

Bethea is currently being held in the Davidson County jail under a $50,000 secured bond. No court date has been announced.
