Tussey Street Homicide investigation update

Background 

LEXINGTON, NC – Lexington Police Officers responded to a shooting at a residence at 308 Tussey  Street just before 2:30 am Saturday morning. Upon arrival, officers discovered that 31-year-old Robert  Grant, of Lexington, had been shot and killed inside the residence. A short time later officers learned  that a second shooting victim, Britany Bethea, age 41, also of Lexington, had arrived by private vehicle  at Lexington Medical Center. Bethea later died from injuries resulting from being shot. 

Update 

A team of investigators with the Lexington Police Department are continuing to actively investigate  the shooting death of Robert Grant and Britany Bethea. Our hearts go out to each of the families,  friends, and community that are grieving such a tragic and senseless loss.  

There have been no arrests made in this investigation. Any official announcements about this  investigation will be shared through the City of Lexington, Office of Public Relations.  

We believe that there are witnesses that have not yet come forward. We appeal to anyone with  information regarding this investigation to contact the Lexington Police Department at (336) 243-3302.
