Updated LCS COVID-19 protocols
Lexington City Schools Board of Education approved updates to COVID-19 Protocols in alignment with NC DHHS revised tool kits.
Temperature screeners will be discontinued effective March 2, 2022.
District will continue to contact trace but asymptomatic close contacts are no longer required to quarantine.
Masking for all stakeholders will be optional effective March 7, 2022 in all areas with the following exceptions in alignment with NC DHHS Guidelines:
A person who has tested positive for COVID-19 will be required to wear a mask for 5 days after the 5 day quarantine.
A person who is an asymptomatic close contact will wear a mask for 10 days.
A person who returns from COVID symptoms without a negative test or alternative diagnosis will be required to wear a mask for 5 days after the 5 day quarantine.
