Uptown and artsy: A DL gallery from the inaugural Uptown Lexington Arts Fest

Uptown Lexington executive director Travis Stewart said they are proud to present the Inaugural Uptown Arts Festival on Saturday in Uptown Lexington. There were over 40 art vendors selling their one-of-a-kind art. Davidson Local participated in a style similar to Comicon.
Shimmy Mob belly dancing will shake it up for a worthy cause. The “Mob” supports victims of abuse, and the shelters and similar organizations in participating local areas, by promoting awareness and furthering the cause. Donations go to Family Services of Davidson County and Annie's Hope Center.
To help Career Technical Education, CTE, job coach Joel created an opportunity to better appreciate engineering functions and get more excited about tools. This Thorminator Challenge included an art-inspired coloring activity.
Students are divided into civil engineers, mechanical engineers and forensic engineers. Engineering schools joke that civil engineers make targets, mechanical engineers make weapons and forensic engineers evaluate the mess.
