Utility crews work to restore power, updates on social media

From Silver Valley, Walburg, Lexington and beyond, thousands of Davidson County residents experienced power outages. These included members of the Davidson Local staff who shared on social media during long wait times with customer service.

Regular updates were shared via social media by Lexington Utilities.

“Our crews have worked hard all day to restore power for most customers! We do still have approximately 20 customers still without power and will keep working to restore power for the remaining customers. Thank you for your patience.”

If you are able, try contacting your local utility service to report an outage online.

Several readers contacted us with questions. Brews, Grooves & News reporter Brooke Maners provided an avenue for updates on social media with posts such as this:

“I just spoke with Lisa at Energy United. She informed that they had 15,000 people without power, they have that down to 5,000 at this time. They have 5 more circuits to repair. She stated, they hope to have everyone restored by this evening, but advised the possibility that some could experience outages into Tuesday, or even Wednesday. Crews, as well as emergency phone line operators will continue to work nonstop, until all power has been restored. (We are so thankful to all of the workers, working so hard to resolve this as quickly as possible for our area!).”
