Local Board of Elections gears up for Election Day

Local Board of Elections gears up for Election Day

More than 30,000 votes have been cast in Davidson County, according to the Davidson County Board of Elections. Director Andrew Richards said this is a slight uptick since the 2018 elections.

Wondering where to vote? The NC precinct locator system can help. This link will lead you to 43 election-day sites in Davidson County. Richards thanked the dozens of precinct workers. "We are fully staffed."

He noted the importance of the precinct location system. If you don’t vote in the designated precinct, you could be issued a “provisional ballot,” rather than one designed for your district. Officials encourage everyone to check the precinct locator for an accurate ballot.

General election day turnout is expected to mirror more than 30,000 early votes cast before Nov. 8, according to Richards. He added, “Be patient…expect lines… but if they're in line by 7:30, their vote will be counted.”
