In February of 2025, Deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office received information of a K-9 needing immediate Veterinary Care. Animal Cruelty Investigator launched an immediate investigation from this information, which led them to the 2000 Block of Friendship Ledford Rd of Winston Salem.
During this investigation, it was discovered, that Brian Coe, was in possession of a chocolate Labrador Retriever type dog. Upon discovery of the k-9’s critical condition, Deputies issued an immediate order for Emergency Veterinary Care for the dog. Upon follow up, it was discovered that Coe had failed to follow the Cruelty Compliance Order, that led to the dog being found deceased. The Deputies transported the remains to a local Veterinary Hospital for a Necropsy, where the dog was found to have succumbed to the neglect of treatment for Veterinary Care.
Brian Coe was arrested on March 15, 2025 and taken to the Davidson County Magistrate’s Office and is scheduled to appear in court May 13, 2025.
