Bridge replacement starting in Davidson County
Press release from NCDOT
LEXINGTON – Starting next week, N.C. Department of Transportation contractor forces will temporarily close a road in Davidson County for about ten months.
Starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, June 6, Becks Church Road will be closed in both directions between N.C. 47 and Old U.S. 64 to allow crews to safely replace the bridge over Pounder Fork Creek. Work is expected to be complete by March 2023.
A signed detour will be in place using N.C. 47, N.C. 8 and Interstate 85.
Motorists are advised to use caution when approaching the work zone and plan for delays due to the detour.
