Waiver of landfill fees for deer carcasses

At the October 10, 2022 meeting of the Davidson County Board of Commissioners, the Board voted unanimously to waive Landfill fees for the disposal of deer carcasses. This action was taken at the request of the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. The purpose of the waiver is to reduce the potential spread of disease and to decrease the amount/number of remains being left on the land and/or being illegally dumped on roadsides.
