Faith and Fellowship: Kindness is a lifestyle, it's a daily practice
Jesus was more than kind. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which you were called in one body; Whenever we are kinds to others, God begins to smile on us. The word of God teaches us to love our neighbors as yourself. Being kind is loving others as yourself. Ephesians 4:32 , Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
As children we are taught to follow the Golden Rule, which simply tells us, “ Do unto others as you would have them to do unto you”. As children of God we were also taught, Galatians 6:10, So then, as we have opportunity, Let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. We as believers should always be empathetic, and we should always respond with kindness, we all need a little bit of kindness, especially in times like these.
Proverbs 11:17, tells us A man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man hurts himself.
Which simply means, It’s Kind to be Kind.
Words are like honey sweet to the soul and healing for the body.
Niceness is kindness minus conviction, It is the natural outcome of the Holy Spirit presence in our lives. We exhale kindness after we inhale what’s been breathed into us by the spirit.
Kindness is pleasant, we as believers should always remember to never mistake kindness for niceness.
As Christians we can be nice. Here is the good news! When you relate to people with candor and kindness, you let people know, we serve an loving and kind God.
Sometimes the world may lack compassion, but the word of God continuously reminds us to be kind by being compassionate to one another .
Kindness is a lifestyle, It’s a daily practice, It is a choice as Christians we are to grow in the fruit of the spirit, love , joy, peace , patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control and kindness and growth takes time. We must be faithful everyday to bear the good fruit of kindness, Being kind should be our default mode, a habit of goodwill, a heart of continual service every day of the year.
Kindness is not when we feel like it or a random act here or there or when we happen to think of it.
Kindness requires a seeking out, looking for the needs of others.
As we meditate on the Word of God we should always remember, Jesus took the time to be Kind, you should too, So slow down make the time, and look for the needs of others.
Be intentional in showing kindness and be consistent. And God will Bless You!!!
May God so richly bless!!!!
