Live United: United Way seeks volunteers to help allocate funds
FUND DISTRIBUTION VOLUNTEERS
It’s that time of year again when we reach out to our community to recruit Fund Distribution Volunteers.
Volunteers of all backgrounds take part in the fund distribution process and work hard to ensure that the donated dollars are spent where they are needed most, and in the most efficient way possible, to impact our community goals. Each year, a group of around 100 volunteers participate in this process to review applications from nonprofits requesting funds from United Way of Davidson County. These volunteers make decisions on how to allocate funding to a variety of local agencies doing life-changing work. Our community relies on these volunteers to act as stewards for funds by the United Way of Davidson County. You can be part of this amazing group!
What’s the commitment?
Review the applications of your assigned nonprofits (typically you will review 2 to 3 nonprofits asking for UW funding)
Attend virtual training on October 26th – 8:30 – 10:00 AM
Attend site visits/financial presentations with your panel – December 1st – 8:00 – until (typically wrap up between 3:30-5:00 PM)

Hi Toms For Humanity – For $300 companies can become a sponsor for this event. Each sponsor company receives a customized jersey(to keep) and will be recognized on July 22 before the game. Additionally, you would be lifted up on our social media (FB, Instagram and Linkedin). *See attached flyer
Team Trivia Night – We are registering teams for our NEG Team Trivia Night at Bull City Ciderworks on 6/23. For $100 you can register a team of 4. Additionally, we recruit question sponsors.
