Owens & Minor and United Way of Davidson County are teaming up once again to host their 2022 golf tournament on Friday, September 9th, at Lexington Golf Club, 200 Country Club Blvd, Lexington, North Carolina.
The tournament will be a four-person captain’s choice format. This year there will be morning and afternoon rounds starting at 8:45 am and 1:30 pm. Check-in for each round will be 30 minutes prior to the start. The cost is $75 per person or $300 per team. This price includes lunch, one mulligan per player per side, and one tee buster per player per round. If we see enough interest, we will add an afternoon round to avoid slow play. The deadline for registration is August 31.

United Way of Davidson County provides funding for agencies that focus on Health, Education and Financial Stability. Any organization that would like to apply for funding for 2023 must attend this meeting.
On Friday, June 3 the United Way of Davidson County participated in Big Bikes for Vets monthly Bike Night.
Each year, a group of around 100 volunteers participate in this process to review applications from nonprofits requesting funds from United Way of Davidson County. These volunteers make decisions on how to allocate funding to a variety of local agencies doing life-changing work. Our community relies on these volunteers to act as stewards for funds by the United Way of Davidson County. You can be part of this amazing group!

Now More Than Ever: It has been a difficult two years for most everyone. There is a cost to recovery, one that is out of reach to many if not for agencies like the United Way of Davidson County. The average weekly cost for substance abuse treatment with Nazareth can range from $533 for intensive outpatient treatment to $265 for individual treatment and $165 for group sessions.
Through the financial support of the United Way of Davidson County, a group of kids at the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club are making a real impact on the healthcare and well-being of others in their community.
