Cassidy's Creative Corner: Innocent until Proven Guilty? Final Edition

Cassidy's Creative Corner: Innocent until Proven Guilty? Final Edition

With Snider being gone for a few days, police were sent out to find him since after some time he was posted as a missing person. Without any luck, Harley finally suggested that they look back at the crime scene, and after days of investigation, Snider was arrested for not only fraud, but for the kidnapping as well. “Turns out, Snider actually attended this wedding, and due to his suspicious activity we thought it would be best to search him.” An investigator explained to Viola and Harley. “The missing person was found in his house, and through questioning of both the victim and Snider, we’ve concluded that the culprit was him all along.”

Viola rubbed her forehead and sighed. “So what about the other suspects? They were all set up?” Harley thought for a moment and then her eyes widened. “Well, we kind of already knew that…Viola, do you remember when I said Snider came to me about the case, and told me about their tailors?” Viola looked up and raised an eyebrow. “Yeah, and I said that Snider hadn’t been told of the case yet at the time.” Harley nodded. “Exactly, which makes sense now. He knew about it before you told him.”

Viola sighed again. “Now I feel bad… after you told me that I suspected you, especially with the whole paper incident going on.” She shook her head and looked over at her friend. “Now that I think about it, Snider was very eager to finish up the case from the beginning.” Harley chuckled and shook her head. “Don’t feel bad…honestly I would’ve suspected me too… so trust me, its okay.” Viola sadly smiled. “I do have a question for you though…if thats okay?”

“Yeah, of course it is. Whats up?” Viola opened her mouth to speak, waiting to find the right words to ask to her friend. “Why have you been acting so…suspicous lately? You just seemed like something was up with you.” Harley thought about it for a moment. “Honestly, this whole case has just put me on edge, ecepically after being accused for missing papers, and with Snider coming to me about all this, it’s been hard to manage everything.” After the investigation closed and the days at the office slowed down, everyone mostly avoided Sniders office for a few months, and the missing person was returned safely to their family.
