At around 11:38 p.m. on Friday, firefighters got an alert about a working structure fire on the 900 block of Rosedale Drive. Details are still under investigation. Firefighters say that the fire began in the upper area of the chimney. They do not know if there was a fire in the chimney or if heat from the house started the blaze.

Eight people have been displaced and 1 firefighter was injured. According to the Thomasville Fire Department, the location of the fire obstructed their measures.
