Holly Hill Memorial Park to host Hurricane Helene candlelight prayer service

Holly Hill Memorial Park is hosting a candlelight prayer service on October 10th at 6 pm for those affected by Hurricane Helene and all first responders. Hurricane Helene, a Category 4 storm, made landfall on September 26th in Florida’s Big Bend, causing a 500-mile path of destruction with deadly force, catastrophic flooding, damaging winds and power outages.

Celebrate National Donut Day in Davidson County

National Donut Day is today in Davidson County. Held annually on the first Friday in June, National Donut Day is a sweet time to celebrate America’s heroes. The holiday was originally established to honor The Salvation Army’s service to soldiers during World War I. Stock upon the sweet treat today at a local bakery.
