Master Gardeners Tour sneak peek video
After a 2-year absence, Davidson County Extension Master Gardener Volunteers present their 16th Garden Tour this June. It will be in the Historic W 2nd Avenue, Westover and Grimes Park Areas of Lexington, NC. These developments were built from 1900-1950's.
You can visit 9 homes and gardens that are preserved, restored and re-invented in a variety of styles and sizes. Strolling on these delightful streets with towering trees, front porch swings, and friendly smiles is a tour itself. If you enjoy hiking, the entire area can be walked. Or you can park and view 2 or 3 gardens at a time. Docents will be available at each garden to direct you and answer questions. Tour dates and times are June 4, 10am - 4pm and June 5, 1pm - 5pm. Tickets will be on sale at Breeden Insurance, 312 W Center St & Grimes Park, 25 Hege Dr, Lexington, NC 27292. The tickets are $20 and include admission for both days, a tote, pen, map, garden descriptions and more. The tour not only helps to fund scholarships and community projects, but also provides knowledge, joy and inspiration.
