Alert: Search underway for an attempted kidnapping on Booker Avenue
Lexington, NC – July 30, 2024 - On Monday, July 29 the Lexington Police Department received a call from the 100 block of Booker Avenue at 4:40 p.m. The caller reported that her daughter and cousin were walking around the neighborhood when someone attempted to grab her daughter.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. and no injuries were reported.
The suspect was identified as an African American male with a lighter skin tone who was driving a white truck. No further information is known at this time and this remains an ongoing investigation.
