Local individuals arrested on numerous felony conspiracy charges
Detectives with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office T.R.A.C.E. Team, assigned to the Special Investigations Division, began investigating the theft of a Caterpillar 953C Track Loader, valued at $110,000.00 from the Thomasville community. During the investigation, Detectives, assisted by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Stokes County Sheriff’s Office, Kernersville Police Department and the North Carolina Highway Patrol, developed leads and identified the suspects involved in the larceny. As the investigation evolved, numerous individuals were arrested and charged.
On July 05, 2024, the stolen Caterpillar 953C Track Loader was located/recovered in Stokes County, abandoned roadside. Detectives responded and investigated, arresting Matthew Dylan Combs who is charged with felony larceny.
On July 06, 2024, Detectives identified and arrested Devin Lynn Combs who is charged with felony larceny, conspiracy to commit felony larceny, conspiracy to obtain property by false pretense, felony possession of stolen property, felony alter or remove serial number, injury to personal property, injury to railroad property, 2nd degree trespassing and trespassing on railroad right of way. He was also served with numerous probation violation warrants.
On July 25, 2024, Detectives identified and arrested Betty Michelle Tilley who is charged with felony larceny, conspiracy to commit felony larceny, conspiracy to obtain property by false pretense and accessory after the fact.
Timothy Matthew Combs was arrested on July 18 for unrelated charges and placed on a federal hold in the Guilford County Jail, his warrants issued by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office are awaiting service. He is charged with felony larceny, felony possession of stolen property, conspiracy to commit felony larceny, conspiracy to obtain property by false pretense, felony alter or remove serial number and injury to personal property.
Sonya Leann Jones, is currently WANTED by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office for felony larceny, felony possession of stolen property, conspiracy to commit felony larceny, conspiracy to obtain property by false pretense, 2nd degree trespassing, as well as failure to appear on trafficking methamphetamine out of Stokes County. The identification of other suspects is currently ongoing at this time.
