Assault on a child leads to charges

In October of 2024, Deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address in the Wallburg Community of Davidson County. A report of a sexual assault on a juvenile was made. The case was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division for investigation and a criminal investigation was launched. The juvenile was forensically interviewed at The Dragonfly House and disclosed that a family member had sexually assaulted them.
On Thursday, April 3, 2025, Thomas Glenn Robinson, 66 years old was arrested and charged with one count of indecent liberties with a minor. Robinson is scheduled to appear in Lexington District Court, on April 28, 2025.
According to the National Center for Victims of Crime, 1 in 5 girls and 1 in 20 boys are a victim of child sexual abuse, and 3 out of 4 victims who have been sexually assaulted were victimized by someone they knew well.
