Back to school event planned at Davidson-Davie Community College
Davidson Medical Ministries and DC Connect are thrilled to announce a Back- to-School Event scheduled for August 17th at Davidson-Davie Community College. This collaborative effort, supported by several agencies, aims to address the medical and dental needs of students in our community to ensure they are ready for the upcoming school year.
The event will offer a range of essential services for children, including 150 pre-registered back-to-school or sports physical appointments and 50 walk-in appointments. In addition to physicals, children will receive dental screenings.
The Back-to-School Event will also feature educational resources on healthy meals and proper dental care. MedAssist is expected to distribute over-the-counter medications as well. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive back-to-school supplies while supplies last and benefit from an array of services provided by over 20 community agencies, including Novant, Atrium, DCHD, and MedAssist.
Parents and guardians can also explore a parent portal with representatives from these agencies and participate in hourly raffles at the parent section. In addition to services for children, the event will offer screenings and medical education for adults.
