Breaking News: Lockdown lifted at THS and TMS

As of 12:30pm on October 21, 2021 the lockdown at Thomasville High School and  Thomasville Middle School has been lifted. Law enforcement confirms there was no  weapon found on campus. The investigation continues and no injuries have been  reported. The individuals who trespassed on school property are currently in police  custody. All students and staff are safe and secure. We will resume the normal school  schedule at 12:30.

Superintendent, Dr. Cate Gentry and Thomasville Police Captain Brad Saintsing will hold a joint press conference at the Thomasville City Schools Administrative Office at 400 Turner Street, Thomasville at 2 p.m. this afternoon.
