With the sweetest holiday upon us, it's time to plan how you'll celebrate Valentine's Day this year, if you haven’t already. Why not do so locally in Lexington, the town you love most? Not sure how, or what to do? Don’t worry, we have you covered for this evening!

Although Valentine's Day is perceived as a holiday for couples, it can be so much more than that!  While it can be spent with a significant other, it can also be spent with children, friends, and other family members. Single and ready to mingle? We’ve got you, too. When living in Davidson County, there are many sweet ways to spend Valentine's Day, no matter who you spend it with. From various events to different lively date night ideas, there's seriously something for everyone. 

One of the best things about this special holiday is that you don't have to limit the fun to just one day. Valentine events begin days before the holiday. Why not celebrate it throughout the week?

Monday, February 14th

Dinner

Enjoy a decadent and beautiful dinner at one of Lexington’s fine establishments. 

  • Sophie’s Cork & Ale located at 23 W. 2nd Ave. in Lexington is not only a local favorite, but an award winning restaurant. If you really want to impress your date, this is the spot! Enjoy a carefully crafted, gourmet five-course menu by owner and chef John Wilson, specifically designed for Valentine’s Day from 6pm-9pm. This dinner is by reservation only. (336)300-7338.

  • If making reservations isn’t your style, you're in luck. Texas Steak & Tap says they will not be accepting reservations.  You are invited to walk-in and dine any time from 4pm-9pm.

Speed Dating

Listen up all you hopeful singles. Do not sit at home, alone, eating your favorite ice cream from the carton, Put away the TV remote. Cupid called and said get to Bull City Ciderworks 6pm-8pm for their FREE “Be my Valentine” speed dating event. You may find "the one" for the night, the rest of your life, or make some new friends. Stop by Bull City ASAP to fill out some information. 

Love in Lights

Love in Lights is a community luminary event supporting Davidson Prison Ministry from 6pm to 7pm at the Davidson Correction Center, 1400 Thomasville St. Lexington, NC 27292. Purchase a luminary for $25 in honor or memory of a loved one. If you can't attend, a community volunteer will light your luminary for you. http://www.davidsonpm.org/donate.html
