Investigation underway in Thomasville Shooting incident, no injuries reported
Police in Thomasville are investigating a shooting that occurred on Thursday night. Officers were alerted to the disturbance at 7:59 PM on December 26th at the intersection of Sullivan and Harris Streets.
When responders arrived at the scene, they discovered that three occupied homes had sustained damage from gunfire. One home is located on the 500 block of Sullivan Street, while the other two are on the 100 block of Harris Street. Police confirmed that no one inside the homes was injured.
Initial findings suggest that the homes were not intentionally targeted; rather, the damage is believed to have resulted from stray bullets related to an incident involving two parties on Sullivan and Broad Streets. Captain Brad Saintsing stated, "Detectives are still at the scene and continue to seek additional information." He mentioned that the department has some "viable" leads on the individuals involved in the disturbance, but as of noon on January 27th, no arrests have been made.
