"Chair City Christmas" returning for Christmas Eve

"Chair City Christmas" returning for Christmas Eve

“Chair City Christmas” is a Community Christmas Eve service held in downtown Thomasville. The event will take place on Main Street in downtown Thomasville from 5-6PM on Christmas Eve. The mission of this event is to provide a free, fun, and family-friendly gathering to boost the Christmas Spirit in Thomasville! Serving our community while celebrating and communicating the true Joy of Christmas! It is hosted by Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church, The Thomasville Chamber of Commerce, The Blend Coffee Shop, Thomasville Pediatrics, Brandyberry & Associates, and other wonderful sponsors in the Thomasville area.

This year will mark the third annual Chair City Christmas. In 2019, we saw over 1500 community members in attendance and gave away over 800 toys to children! We are anticipating even greater attendance this year!

As in previous years, our program will feature a stage with a live band to lead in fun and energetic Christmas carols, a sharing of the Christmas story from the Bible, greetings from various community leaders, and a community prayer. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there for a meet and greet opportunity for children as well as a photo opportunity. Every child that attends will be given a free Christmas gift (new toys that vary from a stuffed animal, toy doll, toy car, Lego or Playdough set, etc.). “The Blend” Coffee Shop will be offering free Hot Cocoa to everyone in attendance. Santa and Mrs. Clause have agreed to stay as long as needed to see every child.

Come join us on Christmas Eve in the heart of the Chair City as we celebrate Christmas in Thomasville!

Thank you and Merry Christmas!

The Chair City Christmas Team
