Lexington Fire Chief retires after 36 years

Chief Paul Jarrett was recognized at Monday's council meeting for his retirement after 36 years of service to the City of Lexington and our residents.

His career began as a part-time auxiliary firefighter in December of 1988. On January 15, 1990, he was moved to a full-time position with the Lexington Fire Department and was promoted as Lexington’s Fire Chief on October 12th, 2018.
