#CollegeDecisionDay: Our newest intern, Rachel, shares her choice

#CollegeDecisionDay: Our newest intern, Rachel, shares her choice

Like most members of the class of 2022, the college process has not been easy for me. From testing, to applying, and especially waiting, it really is a trying time like no other. Finally, after seven months, the wait is over, and the work I have put in for this purpose has really been well worth it. I have decided to attend the University of North Carolina at Asheville, or UNCA, starting this fall.

I have chosen to attend UNC Asheville because I think it will be the best choice for me.. Asheville is a town full of possibility, creative freedom, and individuality. This is exactly what I am looking for in an environment - a place to grow and learn. Currently, I am trying my best to make the most of the last days of my senior year. I’m eagerly looking forward to this fall when I am able to pursue my education in such a wonderful place.

*Editor’s note - Rachel is a senior at Lexington Senior High School. She joined Davidson Local as an intern in the Winter. We will begin publishing her series about how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted her high school years this week.
