The Scoop: Superhero cheerleaders...activated!!!
Anything For Our Youth flooded Finch Park with cheerleaders of all ages on Saturday morning. Girls from pre-k to 8th grade were treated to a free cheerleading camp from 9 am to 1pm. While jamming to the beats of DJ Neak, the girls withstood the heat in order to grow their knowledge, confidence and skills.
The cheer clinic was sponsored by Penry, Terry and Mitchell Law, Anything for our Youth, Seafood Destiny and of course…Davidson Local. Healthy Living information was provided by Giver of Destiny Corporation (G.O.D.) and Healthier Together.

“My mission in life is to do things where a kid can just come and be a kid and just have a good time without having to worry about paying a price to come or being able to afford it. So I put on these events so kids can just be kids.”

Neak was part of Giver of Destiny Corporation’s Healthier Together partnership.
“Well I’ve been giving back to the community for over 20 years and for me its to see the smiling faces and know that I am doing something from my heart, that does not need recognition from social media or what have you. Just to see a smile from the young peoples faces brings a smile to my heart. Its better to give than to receive.”
