WHAT: The Davidson and Davie Apprenticeship Consortium (DDAC) will present four apprenticeship information sessions in February at Davidson-Davie Community College’s Davidson and Davie campuses.
The first two sessions will be Thursday, Feb. 10, at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., in the Rittling Conference Center on the Davidson campus of Davidson-Davie Community College.
The last two sessions will be Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., on the Davie campus of Davidson-Davie Community College in the admin building, room 110.
All four sessions will cover the benefits and value of studying as an apprentice through DDAC. The sessions will also explain the process of applying, the manufacturing companies aligned with DDAC, the types of programs offered and the classroom part of the apprenticeship at Davidson-Davie Community College. Presenters will also explain how to apply for the next DDAC apprentice class, with coursework beginning this summer.
The DDAC was formed in 2019 and currently has 44 apprentices at the partner companies, including BMK Americas, CMP Wolverine Proctor, EGGER Wood Products, Ingersoll Rand, Kurz Transfer Products, and Mohawk Industries.
