Davidson County Sheriff makes arrest in animal cruelty case

On July 1, 2024, Davidson County Sheriff’s Office was called to the area of First Circle in Lexington NC, for two deceased dogs on the front porch of the residence.

During the investigation, it was determined through observations, interviews and location of the deceased animals, that Christopher Mullins, killed two of the dogs that resided at the residence.

Deputies from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Division, seized 12 remaining dogs at the residence, due to exigent circumstances.

On July 1, 2024, Deputies arrested Christopher Mullins on two Felony Animal Cruelty Charges, 14 Misdemeanour Animal Cruelty Charges, and one Local Ordinance charge.

Christopher Mullins is scheduled to appear in Lexington District Court on First Appearance on July 2, 2024.
