DCPL introduces new system wide Facebook page and newsletter
Did you know that the county public library system has five branches plus the Davidson County Historical Museum? These branches are located in Lexington, Thomasville, North Davidson, Denton, and West Davidson. Each branch has a unique character to serve the community, with a variety of programming and items in their collections. This means that each branch has something different to offer residents of Davidson County, who more than likely live within 20 minutes of a location they don’t normally visit.
The library has recently developed two different methods for residents of Davidson County to be able to see information about events and programming at all branches: a newsletter and system-wide Facebook page. The Curious Cardinal, the library’s quarterly newsletter, succinctly combines information on developments at each location. The latest edition outlines the Summer Reading Program titled, “Oceans of Possibilities.” To access the newsletter, like the new Davidson County Public Library Facebook page and find it posted there, stop by a branch for a paper copy, or register your email address at a branch for delivery to your inbox.
The new Facebook page can be found by visiting, facebook.com/davcopublibrary. Subscribe to the page to stay current with library events while at home, at work, or on the go. The system-wide newsletter and Facebook page are additional ways in which the library strives to connect the citizens of Davidson County together through reading, thinking, learning, and living.
