This year’s program will feature a one-and-a-half-day mini-retreat (no overnight stay required) followed by four classroom sessions that uphold the esteemed curriculum..

“Leadership Davidson County, with the continued collaboration of Marilyn Taylor and TaylorTrain, continues to be the premier leadership development program in Davidson County,” said Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce CEO & President. “…Many have gone on to further their careers by using and implementing the insights and knowledge gained through the program. We are looking forward to this years class, and encourage anyone working or living in Davidson County to take advantage of this exceptional professional and personal growth opportunity.”

Applications will be accepted until Friday, January 24th.

The program will cover a variety of topics, including: - Skill and Knowledge Development - Team Dynamics - Personality Profile Insights - Change Management - Problem-Solving Techniques - Effective Communication - Conflict Resolution Strategies - The History and Culture of Davidson County - Local Businesses and Attractions - Leadership Qualities - Multi-generational Leadership.

Over 750 leaders have completed Leadership Davidson County, gaining significant insights and experiences that have aided their personal and career advancement. The program boasts a proven history of fostering growth for both individuals and organizations throughout Davidson County. This initiative presents a valuable opportunity for your organization to nurture an emerging leader by enrolling them in LDC. We ask that employers ensure their support for full attendance.

The program allows flexibility later in the business day, as sessions (excluding the mini-retreat) will be held from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, enabling participants to handle communications effectively. Participants are expected to avoid taking calls or responding to emails during the sessions. The total fee for the complete four-session program, which includes meals and materials, is $675.00.

Classes tend to fill quickly. Organizers welcome a diverse group of around 25 engaged leaders from throughout the county. “There is a great track record of personal and business growth and development amongst the graduates. LDC continues to impact people, businesses and organizations throughout Davidson County,” Wallace said.

CEO Marilyn Taylor opined, “TaylorTrain values this partnership and recognizes what an asset the program is to Davidson County. Costs are kept to a bare minimum, as a community service. Yet, the program surpasses the effectiveness of many others, as witnessed by the participants themselves! Last year the first Advanced LDC was launched, with its participants fully engaged and taking advantage of the latest techniques in thought leadership.”
