Local school systems announce delays for Jan. 7th

Mostly clear, with a low around 23. Wind chill values as low as 15. Northwest wind 11 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Tonight West northwesterly winds will abruptly strengthen and gust between 35 and 45 mph with the passage of an Arctic cold front this evening. Runoff from the rain today and areas where water collects may refreeze overnight, resulting in some icy spots late tonight..

Sunny, with a high near 40. Wind chill values as low as 15. Northwest wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
Thomasville City Schools
Due to the inclement weather, schools will be operating on a 2 hour delay schedule on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. All students and staff should report 2 hours later than normal, unless contacted by your supervisor. Please be sure to use caution, especially on bridges and overpasses.
