Faith and Fellowship: There Is Freedom

Faith and Fellowship: There Is Freedom

When we think of July Fourth, we usually think of cookouts, fireworks, celebrating and spending time with friends and family. We should also take the time to celebrate all the freedoms we are given.
I pray that your spiritual celebration on the 4th of July will mirror what we have been taught in
1st Peter 2:16, Live as people who are free not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.

For we know there is freedom in our Lord and Savior, the Believers know and understand, now the Lord is the spirit, And where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom.
The notion that being a Christian is oppressive or deprives anyone of freedom, is simply wrong. Therefore we must understand that our freedom does not come from the government, Our freedom is a precious gift from God. We should understand that no government can give us freedom, and no government can take away.
Galatians 5:1, It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. The freedom that one offers is simply the freedom to be free of evil influence.

God gives the freedom to choose life, And he gives it freely. If you set yourself free by your own strength, you are only free as you are strong.
We the believers do understand that walking in freedom should always be easy, to the contrary there is an evil, worldly influence constantly fighting to re-enslave our spirits, we honor those who has died for our freedoms, Sometimes freedom maybe an ongoing struggle, But as Believers we know winning the battle is to live a life in ongoing honor of those who died for both our earthly and eternal freedom.

As we celebrate the 4th of July let us remember
Psalm 33:12 “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, and the people whom he hath chosen for his own influence, then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32

As we meditate on the word of God this week let us remember, only when we accept the freedom provided to us by God, through Faith In Jesus Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit, can we truly be free.

May God So Richly Bless!!!
