Youth invited to Winter Wonderland ball

Youth invited to Winter Wonderland ball

This is the 5th Annual Winter Wonderland Ball for our youth. This is Anything For Our Youth Group, Inc Signature Event. This event is to celebrate our youth for being great kids. Our intent is to give kids in our community an opportunity to dress up in their best and favorite outfits and come out for an evening of fun, delicious food, dancing and winter celebration. We offer etiquette tips, and focus on manners, and polite behavior for educational purposes for our youth.

This event is made possible from grant funding from the Charity League of Lexington, NC and community donations. We have hosted this event in February each year, but due to the Covid-19 Pandemic we had to cancel in 2020, and postponed this year until December, working with our venue at 119 W. Third Avenue. Once they were fully open and operating, we rescheduled the date for a December date to still live out our Winter Wonderland theme.

The event is FREE for all youth throughout the community, ages 4 -12 years old. This year we will have a hot chocolate bar, ice cream bar, finger foods, games, activities, a photo booth, a Dj, and of course a couple of special guests will be stopping by. This year we will also have the Davidson Democratic Teens collecting new, unwrapped toys for their toy drive, and Giver of Destiny Corporation giving out information about youth vaccination. The Lambda Epsilon Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Salisbury, NC and Meadowview Reformed Presbyterian Church of Lexington will be partnering with us this year. "I am so excited and blessed to be part of such a giving community when it come to supporting and loving our youth, this is what life is all about for me" said Tina Royal, Executive Director of Anything For Our Youth Group, Inc.

The year event will be held Saturday December 11, 2021; 5 pm - 8 pm at the 119 W. Third Event Center Lexington, NC for youth ages 4-12 years old, dress in your best, and bring an unwrapped toy. Sidney Briggs president of the Davidson Democratic Teens said, “We are still finalizing where the toys are going, but we do have locations for both adult gifts and kid gifts. Our gift drive is hoping to make sure that everyone gets a bit of joy this season through opening and receiving a gift, regardless of their socioeconomic status or religion.”
