Faith and Fellowship: God is Able

No matter what circumstance you may face, both good and bad, you can rest assured that God will strengthen you and meet all of your needs. God is able to do exceedingly above all we can ever ask dream or imagine.

Someone may ask the question, "How do you know God is able?” The Bible teaches us in Daniel 3:17, “If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.” Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego understood our God is able! What a remarkable thing - the three young men were able to walk around in the midst of the fire, and a fourth man whose appearance is like the son of God, walked with them (Daniel 3:25).

Even life threatening needs are no match for the God we serve. The God of the universe has unlimited power to his faithful believers. We must know within ourselves that God is able. If you have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, God’s awesome power is at work within you through the Holy Spirit.

Whenever you may feel down or in despair, know that our God is an Ephesians 3:20 God; “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us”. Let us celebrate God’s power. The songwriter penned it best when he stated, “ God is able to do just what he said he would do, don’t give up on God because he won’t give up on you. He’s able!!

As we meditate on God let us pray and reflect on the many times he’s been there when we needed him the most. God is able to do so much more. It’s not even possible to measure! Lord teach us to know you more and to put all of our trust in you, knowing without any doubt that God you are able!!
