Get ready for National Prevention Week with a local forum
First Reformed United Church of Christ announces a Community Forum on Mental Health and Drug Abuse.
The free forum is open to the community and will be held on Sunday, May 19, at 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall located at 104 E. Center Street in Lexington.

National Prevention Week is May 12, through May 18, 2024 occurring right in the middle of Mental Health Awareness Month.
Whether it’s by sharing how you are helping to prevent substance use or sharing the ways you're promoting mental health, this is a community challenge.
Purpose of National Prevention Week
Involve communities in raising awareness of substance misuse and mental health issues, implementing prevention strategies, and showcase the effectiveness of evidence-based prevention programs.
To foster partnerships and collaborations with federal agencies and national organizations dedicated to improving public health.
Promote and disseminate quality substance use prevention and mental health promotion resources and publications.
Be a part of an important conversation to find ways to help yourself and others.
