Get your Golden Ticket for a local Christmas toy giveaway on Saturday

The local community is again invited to a special event hosted by the “Our House” Community Table Project (OHCTP) in celebration of the holiday season. Anything For Our Youth has made a special donation of new toys and gifts to OHCTP to be given to numerous lucky children on Saturday, December 21st beginning at 3 p.m. at Banks-Miller American Legion Post #255 located on Arthur Drive in Lexington.

Each OHCTP event is made possible through the efforts and support of the Lexington community. Please lend your support by attending the events, joining the cause, volunteering or through sponsorship. Come and celebrate the holidays with us and see old friends and people that you have not seen in years. Sit around and talk, laugh and share. Join in the fun of the evening which includes a holiday cookie bar, delicious homemade soups, games and dancing to music by DJ/MC SPYDR. There will also be local community leaders in attendance for you to meet in person.

The OHCTP is an idea born out of a need for the local community to remain connected and engaged through an ongoing series of events designed to foster conversation, influence growth, gather and share resources and to inspire action. Each event is a chance for the entire community to fellowship and to get together. The OHCTP events are planned for various locations throughout the city, with all event being scheduled months apart.

OHCTP has a goal to identify local “Influencers” to join the project and through OHCTP, help regenerate traditions and rituals in the community which keep us all together, like:

• Recognizing Elders & Remembering Ancestors

• Recognizing Community Achievements & Life Moments

• Reestablish Law Enforcement & Community Connections

• Foster Church & Community Connections

• Reconnecting & Fellowship Over A Meal.
