Commissioners and governor appoint community college trustees

Three members were appointed to the Davidson-Davie County Community College Board of Trustees during their monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 13. Tina Royal was appointed to the Board by Governor Roy Cooper, Kelly Gallimore was appointed to the Board by Davidson County Commissioners, and Dr. Rita Haire was appointed to the Board by Davidson County Commissioners.
Royal and Gallimore were appointed to their second term on the Board of Trustees. Dr. Haire was appointed to finish the term of the late Dr. Mark Davis who passed away in December 2020. These appointees are the first to be appointed to the Davidson-Davie County Community College Board since the name change of the College.
