Master Gardener 17th Annual Garden Tour: June 3rd and 4th

Davidson County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association presents 17th Garden Tour June 3-4.

Davidson County Master Gardener Volunteers will direct you down garden paths surrounded by mystical creatures, unique garden art, places for quiet meditation, and abundant crops of beautiful produce.  Sun and shade, woods and lawns, subdivision lots and acres of plants—all await your exploration. Garden hosts invite you to come to North Davidson County to appreciate and learn from their special gardens. Along the way, you can take a rest and enjoy the beautiful, new Midway Town Park or eat at one of the many locally owned eateries. Heritage Oak Farms welcomes you to pick up your tickets and learn about what they have to offer for your landscape needs. Come spend the day, or two, with us!!

$20 for both days       Children through high school are free.

Saturday, June 3, 10am-4pm

Sunday, June 4, 1pm-5pm

Ticket pre-sales begin May 1 through individual MG Volunteers as well at The Backyard Retreat, 106 S Main Street, Lexington; Cupcake Cuties, 8363 N NC Hwy 109, Wallburg; and Wallburg Mulch, Sand and Gravel, 8490 N NC Hwy 109, Winston-Salem.  Cash or check only please. On-line tickets through Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com/o/davidson-county-extension-master-gardeners-61847431563) will carry an extra $3.18 convenience charge and will end May 30th prior to the tour.

Tour day tickets will be sold, and pre-sold on-line tickets picked up at Heritage Oak Farms, 470 Gumtree Road, Winston-Salem 27107.

Garden tote with map, garden descriptions, pen, area information and more accompanies each ticket.

For your information, the tour is the major fundraiser for our 501c3 organization.  We also consider it a public educational opportunity for all gardeners to receive inspiration and practical ideas for their own landscapes. The proceeds from the tour go to our many educational, beautification and service projects—some of which are: Landscaping at the Cancer Center, Senior Center, post offices, libraries and schools—Demonstration Garden and Vegetable Garden at the Ag Center—Annual Gardeners’ Conference—Education programs at the Farmers Markets of Lexington and Thomasville and various education programs for area schools and organizations—Scholarships and many more.
