Hege takes the helm to lead North Davidson boy's basketball

Brian Hege will be the next boy’s basketball head coach at North Davidson High School. Hege will be moved over from the women’s program that finished 25-3 and lost in the regional final to Enka 51-49.
Hege graduated from Leadford High School and studied at Gardner-Webb University and earned a degree in Studied Secondary Education at Appalachian State University.
Hege spent 14 seasons as head coach at Central Davidson High School where he had a combined record of 160-158 . He guided Central Davidson to the third round of the playoffs with a 23-4 record in 2012-2013 season per Maxpreps.
North Davidson was 13-1 in a short season due to COVID-19 that team lost 11 seniors in 2019-2020. This team has a very young core of players and finished 5-19 this season. North Davidson should have a lot of players returning from this year's roster next year.
