He's got the whole world in His hands

There is a popular song that many of us are familiar with that goes,

He’s got the whole world in His hands, He’s got the whole world in His hands, He’s got the whole world in His hands, He’s got the whole world in His hands. He’s got the fish of the sea in His hands, He’s got the gamblin’ man in His hands, He’s got the sinner man in His hands, He’s got the whole world in His hands. He’s got the little bitsy baby in his hands, He’s got everybody here in His hands, He’s got you and me brother, in His hands. He’s got the whole world in His hands.

What a beautiful blessing it is that we can use a song to learn more about our loving God. 

Psalm 24: 1-2 teaches us “The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world and all who lives in it, for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.”

 Not only does God hold the entire world in His hands, but he is completely sovereign over it. We should be honored to serve such a great and powerful God.

God in his infinite wisdom is so strong because he holds the whole world in his hands. The land belongs to him and all his people in his land belong to him.

Isaiah 41:13 states “For I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you.” 

We can take comfort in the presence of God because as believers we know and understand if God can feed the birds in the air, if he can take care of every other living creature, we know without a doubt that our God, with his hands open wide will never leave us, nor forsake us.

God has the President of the United States in His hands. He has all other world leaders and countries in his hands. He has birth and death, health and illness, wealth and want all in his hands. God has day and night, wind and calm, drought and flood. He has it all in his hands. 

Because God has the whole world in his hands it doesn’t stop there. He has rich and poor, bond and free, female and male, great and small.

Ezra 8:22 says “The hand of our God is for good upon all that seek him.” 

We must understand that everything belongs to God. Our family and our friends all belong to God. Whenever you feel down or in despair just know that you can place anything in God’s hand. His hands are always open to receive. 

God reigns over the entire universe. He is God of all and he is Lord of all. The world was ordained by God. The world is controlled by God, The world is saved by God.

As we meditate on the word of God this week let us remember God has us in the palm of his hands. We must know that the hand of God will lead and guide us into holiness. Whatever the enemy tries to throw our way we know the hand of God will block it.

Always remember He’s got the whole world in His hands.
