Introducing Remember When? A discussion series on days gone by
Do you like reminiscing about the past?
Do you enjoy sharing memories with others?
Do you have items from days gone by that you would like to show off?
If you answered yes to one of these questions, or are even curious, this new discussion series is perfect for you. The Davidson County Public Library will be hosting a new, five-part discussion series at the Davidson County Historical Museum in Lexington for Fall/Winter 2022. The program will occur on the Third Thursday of each month, from 2:30 PM-3:30 PM. Join facilitators Ginger Bitterman, Adult Program Coordinator from the Lexington branch, and Brenna Buchanan, Community Engagement Coordinator as the group focuses on events and themes from the past to highlight the rich history of Davidson County during its bicentennial celebration. Each discussion will be enhanced with objects from the collections of the museum. Participants are encouraged to bring items of their own that relate to the topic. All are welcome to attend.
The schedule is as follows:
August 18th: When Elvis Came to Town
September 15th: Yearbook Pictures and Autographs
October 20th: First Job
November 17th: Prom Night
December 15th: Going to the Movies
We hope to see you there!
