Faith and Fellowship: The Old Rugged Cross

Faith and Fellowship: The Old Rugged Cross

To the believers the cross is a symbol of our faith, the cross was a place of condemnation, Jesus died in our place, no one is saved because he or she is good, religious, or moral. One can only be saved by the blood of the cross. When Jesus died on the cross, he died to forgive us and to give us victory over sin and satan. He rose to give you the power to be all you were meant to be in eternity.

The Old Rugged cross made a difference when all around us is sinking sand, the old rugged cross is enough, because you are enough. Deuteronomy 11:22, “ For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and cleave unto him”.

The old Rugged Cross is where I cling, Lord we Thank You for giving us courage, you are always with us because of the old rugged cross. The old Old Rugged Cross keeps us connected to our Savior. Because of the cross all the things are possible. The old Rugged Cross opens our heart to receive healing, peace, joy, love. We shall never forget the old Rugged Cross, that has empowered us to draw nearer to the Lord,
Obedience and the cross always equals Love.

The Blood that stained the old Rugged Cross, T’was his Love that paid the awful cost; O soul far astray come and plunge today. In the blood that stained to the old Rugged Cross. May God exercise his mercy upon us as we always gaze upon the old Rugged Cross, we will find power in the cross.

On a hill far away stood and old Rugged Cross the emblem of suffering and shame; and I Love that old Rugged Cross where the dearest and best far a world of lost sinners was slain. So I’ll cherish the old Rugged Cross, till my trophies at last I lay down; I will cling to the old Rugged Cross and exchange it same day for a crown.

As we meditate on the word of God this week, let us remember God has been faithful to us in all areas of our lives. The old Rugged Cross will always be enough, Jesus is always enough.
