Why is appearance important? 

If you are sloppy or disheveled, companies become concerned that if you don't care about how you look, are you going to care about your responsibilities, company assets and the customers? 

True story– An adult dropped a pizza on his chest by accident. As opposed to running to the bathroom to remove the stain, he decided to make a joke out of it and rubbed the tomato sauce into his shirt.  A couple of days later, wearing the same shirt, went to a job interview. 

Needless to say he didn’t receive a job offer.

If you are in the job market, here is a proven way to increase your market value and boost your income level. While searching for your next job, be sure to cast a broad net and reach out to at least 10 companies. Research those companies, narrow your search and deepen your interactions with five companies. 

Strive to get at least three job offers and let them know what the top offer is in hopes the other companies match if not surpass the offer. Companies want someone who is in demand. 

Implement this strategy and you will boost your future income levels.
