Lexington Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire on Sunnyside Drive

LEXINGTON, NC – Lexington Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Sunnyside Drive at approximately 6:15 am on Wednesday, May 17. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke visible from the front of the home and found a room and its contents on fire. Firefighters began searching for occupants and quickly began acting to prevent the fire from spreading to the remaining parts of the home.

The fire department was assisted by Lexington Police, Holly Grove Fire Department, and Davidson County EMS. The cause remains under investigation by Lexington Fire Marshal’s Office. The

Red Cross is assisting the three occupants who were displaced by the fire.
