The lady Jackets basketball team lost a close one, 50-40, Friday night in a game against East Davidson.

“We came up a little short on the score,” said Coach Tyrone Terry, “but they didn’t quit, they fought back.” At one point the Jackets were down by 20 points but rallied.

The team was also down two players due to injuries, including one starter who was out on concussion protocol and one player who was injured in the first two minutes of the game and was unable to return to play.

In addition, two other team members have left, leaving just six players for the team, but Terry said they are not giving up.

The team was led in scoring again by Lily Erving with 14 points and Nadia Boyd with 10 points.
