The Lexington Book Festival is gearing up for a 3rd year

After celebrating a very successful 2nd year, the Lexington Book Festival is preparing for the 3rd Annual Lexington Book Festival, which is scheduled for March 22, 2025.

Last year the streets of Uptown Lexington were filled with book lovers that packed the galleries of Arts Davidson County located at 202 North Main Street eager to see some of their favorite authors. From the meet and greet at Bull City Ciderworks hosted by media sponsor, Davidson Local to the on stage discussions with authors. The Lexington Book Festival was a weekend of enjoyment. The 2nd Annual Lexington book Festival welcomed twenty authors including Crystal Smith Paul, Annette Saunooke Clapsaddle, Alan Gratz, Jo Hackl, Charlie Lovett, Amber Smith and Ed Southern. An estimated 500 attendees enjoyed the panels and all of the events.

To help offset the cost of facilitating the book festival, an online auction is being held. Last year the online auction yielded more than $1600, which helped with the expenses and costs of honorariums for invited authors and school visits.

The Lexington Book Festival is growing each year and is seeking to surpass last year’s online auction amount. The festival not only promotes literacy but also contributes to the local economy and tourism. Consider donating to the online auction to help support the love of literacy in our community.

Donations are tax deductible and the online auction is slated for late September. For more information, to contribute to the auction or to make a donation, please email: lexingtonbookfestival@gmail.com or visit their website at https://www.lexingtonbookfestival.org.

The Lexington Book Festival is a literary arts nonprofit whose mission is to connect readers and writers. They thrive to spark a passion for literature in new readers and deepen the enjoyment of literature in readers of all ages.
