Lexington police investigate shooting on Spruce Street

LEXINGTON, NC – Lexington Police Officers responded to a reported shooting on Spruce Street at 11 am this  morning. Shortly after the shooting was reported, officers received a call from Lexington Medical Center about  a juvenile male with a gunshot wound. Officers determined the juvenile was the victim of the reported shooting  on Spruce Street. The victim’s injuries appear to be non-life-threatening. Detectives believe this was an isolated  incident and not a random shooting. 

Lexington Police Department is actively investigating this incident. At this time, officers do not have any  suspects in custody.
